March 20th – Paul and Liz O’Neill – “An Acid Trip to Llwyngarreg“
Members will be familiar from past meetings with the informative and entertaining talks that Paul and Liz give about their garden Llywngarreg on the border of Carmarthenshire and Pembrokeshire, which a number of us visited last July. This talk focusses on the many rare and interesting acid-loving plants that they grow – it was actually the gift of a rhododendron that got Paul interested in gardening in the first place! There will be acid-loving plants for sale.
April 17th – Kim Stoddart – “The Climate Change Garden“
Kim Stoddart is an award-winning environmental journalist, editor and gardening trainer and a leading authority on climate-change-savvy grow-your-own. She is the co-author of ‘The Climate Change Garden’, and also writes on climate change gardening and resilient gardening for publications such as The Guardian. She has gardening columns in several magazines. Kim’s books will be for sale, including a new edition of ‘The Climate Change Garden’.
May 15th – West Wales Willows – “The Wonderful World of Willows“
West Wales Willows offers online supplies of living cuttings and rods to grow your own willow for basket weaving, short rotation coppicing as fuel for your woodburner, early nectar for bees, ornamental uses and living structures such as arches, domes and tunnels. They also offer a wide range of willow weaving workshops.
June 19th – Sara Redman – “The Flower Meadow“
Flowers from the Farm is the award-winning membership association championing artisan growers of seasonal, scented, locally grown cut flowers.
July 17th – Kari Astri – “Plants with a Past“
Kari started gardening in her twenties with pots of roses, geraniums and sweet peas on a parapet five storeys up in central London. She’s now on her fifth garden, this time in the Wiltshire countryside.

Carwyn Graves is an author, public speaker and gardener from Wales. Author of the bestselling ‘Apples of Wales’ (2018) and ‘Welsh Food Stories’.
October 16th – Richard Brambly – “Gardeners’ Question Time“
Richard from Farmyard Nurseries is a popular speaker here at the Club. On this occasion members will be able to ask questions and seek advice following the format of the well-known radio show.
Farmyard Nurseries is a retail nursery growing a wide range of plants especially trees and shrubs, herbaceous perennials, alpines and bedding plants. The nursery covers an area of approximately 3 acres, stocking upwards of 2000 varieties of plants and is based just outside Llandysul.
