Cothi Gardeners is a lively gardening club serving a wide area around the Upper Cothi valley in Carmarthenshire and beyond, including for example, Pumsaint, Ffarmers, Caio, Crugybar, Rhydcymerau, Talley, Cilycwm and Lampeter.
Meetings are open to members and non members, novices and experienced gardeners, in fact anyone who enjoys a get together with others to hear and discuss gardening and related subjects including wildlife and countryside issues.
Our current membership is very diverse in age, garden size and expertise, but we all share a love of gardening in this lovely part of the world and a desire to share and learn from others.
Our venue is The Coronation Hall in Pumsaint SA19 8UW
We hold regular meetings on the third Wednesday of the month, with the exception of December when we get together for a Christmas meal at a local hostelry.
Membership for 2022 is £10 per annum ; visitors are welcome at £3 per meeting.
Members organise group purchases of bulbs, plants, seeds and sundries.
We exchange seeds, and produce and have a regular plant stall at meetings, the proceeds from which go to the group funds to help cover speaker expenses.
We occasionally arrange visits to gardens of interest – usually private gardens open for charity. (See the ‘Events’ page)
